Ethos

Growing up in Northern California, I had the privilege of being raised outdoors. I feel a deep connection to the environment, and its preservation. I practice architecture to make an impact on people, and try to curate that same feeling in others through design.

My objective is about more than just designing structures. It's about respecting the balance between the built environment and the natural world. I aim to create thoughtful, unobtrusive architecture that blends seamlessly with its surroundings and draws inspiration from the local ecology.

Ecology

I believe that architecture can contribute positively to the environment. I design to actively engage with ecosystems. I incorporate sustainable practices, leverage renewable resources, and design with a long-term perspective. I aim to design architecture that coexists with nature, giving back as much as it takes.
Humanity

Architects have a unique responsability to people. Architecture isn't just a backdrop; it's a platform for human experiences. I seek to design spaces that foster connections, inspire reflection, and enhance the human experience. I understand that architecture influences behavior, emotions, and relationships.
Quietness

In a world filled with noise and complexity, I appreciate simplicity and subtlety.  Architecture shouldn’t seek to dominate; instead, it should quietly complement its surroundings. I celebrate the power of simplicity, making deliberate choices in every detail, material selection, and space design to create a sense of calm.

Harmony

I strive to harmonize with nature, rather than imposing the architecture on the landscape. I listen to the environment and respond with designs that seek to complement it. I view architecture as a way to connect the built and natural worlds, respecting and enhancing its natural context.
Thoughtfulness

Thoughtfulness guides my work. I approach each project with mindfulness, understanding that every decision I make has a lasting impact. I seek to uncover the unique characteristics of a site and integrate them into the architecture, considering the local culture and the needs of those who will use the spaces.
Lifelong Learning

My ethos is a continuous journey of growth. I'm committed to lifelong learning and innovation. I embrace new technologies, materials, and ideas, always seeking to expand my horizons. I believe that the future of architecture lies in blending tradition with innovation, and I'm dedicated to navigating that path.
